TERMS OF USE
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use explain the terms that apply when you use PalStop websites, ScorePal and related services.
Last updated: 2 September 2026
1. Who we are
These Terms of Use apply to services provided by PALSTOP LTD ("PalStop", "we", "us" or "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using ScorePal, the PalStop website or another PalStop service, you agree to these Terms of Use.
If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use the relevant service.
3. ScorePal
ScorePal is a multi-sport scoring application designed to help users configure, score, record and review matches across supported sports and activities.
Features may vary depending on the version of ScorePal you use, your device, operating system and whether you are using Free or Pro features.
4. Free and Pro features
ScorePal may provide both free and paid features.
Core scoring and match-recording functionality may be available without payment, while additional features may require ScorePal Pro.
Pro features may include functionality such as:
- advanced statistics;
- head-to-head information;
- match sharing and importing; and
- an ad-free experience.
The exact features included in Free and Pro may change as ScorePal develops. Current features and pricing will be shown within ScorePal or through the relevant app store.
5. Purchases
Where ScorePal offers paid features, purchases may be processed through the platform from which you obtained the application, such as Google Play or Apple's App Store.
Payments, refunds and billing may therefore also be subject to the terms and policies of the relevant platform provider.
PalStop does not directly receive or store your full payment-card details when a purchase is processed by an app-store provider.
6. Advertising
Free versions of ScorePal may display advertising.
Advertising must not be relied upon as part of ScorePal's core scoring functionality. Failure to load an advertisement should not prevent you from using core scoring features.
ScorePal Pro is intended to provide an ad-free experience.
7. Your information and content
ScorePal may allow you to enter information such as player names, team names, custom game names and match information.
You remain responsible for information that you enter into ScorePal.
You should ensure that:
- you are entitled to use the information you enter;
- you do not enter unlawful, abusive or inappropriate material;
- you do not unnecessarily enter sensitive personal information; and
- your use of information relating to other people complies with applicable law.
8. Local storage and backups
ScorePal is designed so that core match, player, team, history and settings information can be stored locally on your device.
You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your device and any information stored on it.
Locally stored information may be lost if you:
- delete ScorePal;
- clear the application's data;
- lose or damage your device;
- reset your device; or
- experience a device or storage failure.
Device or cloud backup behaviour may vary depending on your operating system and settings.
9. Match sharing and importing
ScorePal may provide features that allow match information to be shared with or imported by other users.
You are responsible for choosing what information you share and who you share it with.
You should only import match information from sources you trust.
PalStop cannot control what another person does with information after you have chosen to share it with them.
10. Accuracy of scores and statistics
ScorePal is intended to assist with scoring, match recording and statistics.
You remain responsible for checking that scores, rules, match settings, statistics and results are appropriate and accurate for your intended use.
ScorePal should not be treated as an official governing-body system unless PalStop expressly states otherwise.
11. Acceptable use
You must not use PalStop services:
- for unlawful purposes;
- to infringe the rights of another person;
- to attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or services;
- to deliberately interfere with the operation or security of a PalStop service;
- to introduce malicious software, harmful code or other disruptive material; or
- in a way that could reasonably damage PalStop, its services or other users.
12. Intellectual property
ScorePal, PalStop, their software, branding, designs, graphics, interfaces and other original materials are owned by or licensed to PALSTOP LTD unless otherwise stated.
These Terms of Use do not transfer ownership of PalStop's intellectual property to you.
You may use ScorePal for its intended purpose, but you may not copy, redistribute, sell or exploit PalStop software or materials except where permitted by law or expressly authorised by us.
13. Third-party services
PalStop services may interact with third-party products or services, including app stores, analytics providers, crash reporting services, advertising providers and sharing applications.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
PalStop is not responsible for the availability, operation or content of third-party services that we do not control.
14. Availability and changes
We aim to provide reliable and useful products, but we do not guarantee that ScorePal or another PalStop service will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
We may update, improve, replace, remove or modify features as our products develop.
We may also release updates that are required for security, compatibility, reliability or continued operation.
15. Updates
You may need to install updates to continue using certain features or to maintain compatibility with your device or operating system.
We recommend keeping ScorePal and your device software reasonably up to date.
16. Disclaimer
ScorePal and other PalStop services are provided for general scoring, organisational and recreational purposes.
While we aim to provide accurate and reliable functionality, errors can occur.
You should independently verify any information or result where accuracy is particularly important.
17. Liability
Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
To the extent permitted by law, PALSTOP LTD will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or that result from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We are not responsible for loss of locally stored information caused by deletion of the app, clearing application data, device loss, device failure or other circumstances outside PalStop's reasonable control.
18. Consumer rights
If you are a consumer, you may have legal rights under applicable consumer-protection law.
Nothing in these Terms of Use is intended to remove or restrict rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
19. Ending use of ScorePal
You may stop using ScorePal at any time.
You can remove the application from your device using your device's normal uninstall process.
Removing the application may also remove locally stored ScorePal information, subject to any backup functionality provided by your device or operating system.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use as PalStop products, legal requirements or our services change.
The latest version will be published on this page with the date it was last updated.
21. Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under the laws that apply where you live.
